Janelle is a sweet little shih tzu that came to us from a breeder since she was no longer producing puppies. When arriving we could tell something just wasn't right. After getting her settled with vaccines, spay, microchipped, tested for heartworm negative and current on preventatives we noticed that she had some blood in her urine. Xrays were done and a large stone was found. She immediately had a cystotomy to remove the stone and was put on a special diet. Janelle did have to go on 2 rounds of antibiotics after for utis but has since been doing great. She will need to stay on a special diet for the rest of her life to help keep her from having more stones in the future. Janelle has been in a foster home with other dogs and kittens and done great with both. She is now crate and house trained as well. She would love to have another fur friend in her new home but loves time with her human as well.
