Mutt was found in an abandoned house along with his brother Jeff and a cat. They were all emaciated and he was originally thought to be a very young pup when the shelter in VA found him. In fact he was about 7 months old. Since arriving at our rescue he has been tested for heartworms (negative) put on preventative, given his vaccines for distemper and rabies, and he has been neutered. He has gained the much needed weight since he has been here with us. He loves to play and is very sweet. We are not really sure of his breed. The vet believes he is about as large as he will get and thinks he is from the terrier family and possibly has some Shepherd in him. .
